"My condolences to the bereaved family and followers of late Col Shuja Khanjada.
May his soul rest in peace. ..."
So I commented on an article published in Dawn, the national newspaper of Pakistan. The editor published only that much. What they refrained from publishing is given below-
"The writer has not delved into the fundamental
cause of this militancy that has become so rampant in Pakistan. I think the
Pakistani establishment has to blame itself for the rise of this Frankenstein's
Monster. Those who provided logistic support to training camps for anti-Kashmir
militants and terrorists and worked to develop a nursery for Fidayeen militants
must be repenting their folly. A destructionist Philosophy that aims to achieve
some goal by means of mass-murder and carnage is a recipe of disaster for those who propagate it. This
strategy against Indian State must be revised and a path of peace and harmony
must be adhered to. There is nothing like GOOD terrorism and BAD terrorism.
Terrorism is bad in all its forms and manners."
This gagging policy itself talks much about how fragile they are on the issue of terrorism. How can they succeed in quelling this monster when they cannot appreciate the gravity and genesis of the problem?
